The Compatibility Score displayed between you and your matches indicates how compatible you are with them. Compatibility Scores are based on a balanced ratio of similarities and contrasts that are the result of the Compatibility Quiz that all members complete upon registration. In the 'Compatibility' section of each match profile you can see which areas have a particularly high level of similarity and where possible points of friction lie.
In total, there are between 60 and 140 possible compatibility points. This is what the they mean in detail:
- It is so unique, that it has been patented in the US. EHarmony offers compatibility matches based on the 29 patented ‘Dimensions of Compatibility’. 5% of marriages have occurred in the US, due to eHarmony’s unique system, as per a survey in 2009, and 44,000 weddings of the site members (this equals 120 eHarmony weddings every day).
- One of the neatest sections of the member profile area we found during our eHarmony review is the compatibility tab. EHarmony matches you with other members based on 15 different traits. If you click to the compatibility tab of a member’s profile, it will tell you exactly what percent they think you match based on those traits.
- EHarmony profiles are much the same – answers to profile prompts interspersed with biographical details. But eHarmony of course adds in the entire “Compatibility” section. You'll get a breakdown of how compatible you are with each match, the overall compatibility score, and a comparison of your personality traits in various areas.
Post-Compatibility Quiz. After you complete the quiz, you can review the analysis under Personality Profile in your dashboard. You will also be able to review all your matches on day one, see how each of your matches stack up in the 32 Compatibility Dimensions and sort your matches by their matching score.
- 100 is a good starting point for a match. Take a closer look at the profile and if you like them, send a smile or an icebreaker to start a conversation.
- 110 and more are excellent values. This is an above-average matching result: with these members you harmonize particularly well. We encourage you to get to know these members better by sending a message or starting a conversation.
What Is Eharmony Compatibility Score
When it comes to profiles where you see less than 100 points of compatibility, we don't want you to necessarily exclude them. There's still a chance they could be that special someone. You might find that you are in fact on the same wavelength due to shared interests or a similar sense of humor. We encourage you to carefully review the profiles of each match that spark your curiosity and if you feel inspired, start up a conversation with them. You never know who you might find that special connection with!
